Ginger Green Healing Tea Recipe
You will need:
Fresh ginger root
water
Green Tea
Lemon
Honey or favorite sweetner (optional)
To make this tea, boil 1 quarter inch slice of fresh ginger in 1 drinking cup of water for about 5 minutes or to preferred strength. Pour the ginger water over a good strong green tea and steep for 4 minutes. You can use a loose tea in a tea ball or tea bag, I'll leave that up to you. Add a teaspoon of lemon and flavor with honey until just pleasantly sweet.
The end result is an excellent flavored tea that is soothing, helps clear sinuses, reduces throat irritation and dryness. Ginger has been found in studies to aid digestion, sore throat, arthritis, nausea, diarrhea, and to help congestion. Studies have found that ginger acts as antibacterial, fever-reducer, pain reliever, and sedative.
